Abstract

Stigmatizasyon (Stamping, Labeling), by the community “different” and seen as conscious or unconscious removal from the community made to show the trend of othering as we are introduced. Especially mental disorders (including substance abuse) Stigmatizasyon made (Stamping, Labeling), has a negative impact on not only the patient but also the patient's relatives. Stigmatizasyon by the community (Stamping, Labeling) patients and their relatives who do not want exposure to, shows the trend of existing storage disease. If this is the case, make it very difficult to accept and treat the patient's individual treatment. Today, substance abuse, emerges as a serious problem both in Turkey and in the world. The definitive factors for the cause of drug addiction how to be told, the possible factors of substance abuse also can be mentioned. Substance abuse of “lifelong brain disease” definition, considering we can develop a clearer understanding of the severity of this condition. On the subject of substance abuse this indicates the importance and necessity of measures that can be taken. In this context stigmatizasyon (stamping, labeling), self-esteem and forms the main subject of this study is the investigation of substance abuse.
