Abstract

The concept of happiness is an issue that has been emphasized since the past due to the efforts of individuals to seek continuous happiness. Unlike in the past, happiness has gone beyond being an area of interest only to philosophy and philosophers. Happiness is expressed as the average satisfaction level of a person in any time period. This is closely related to how high a person's life is. Researchers generally indicate that age, gender, race, income almost give no clue about happiness levels of individuals; they suggested that the relationship with the person's immediate surroundings was related to their characteristics, culture of the individual, entertainment, knowing whether he was engaged in a job. In this study; based on the data obtained from the face-to-face happiness questionnaire applied to the students of Çukurova University by random sampling method, the determinants of the students' happiness were determined by using Ordered Logit model. According to the results of the Ordered Logistics model, it was concluded that time management and entertainment life had a significant effect on the happiness of university students. It is find that, as the level of participation in these variables increased, there is a positive increase in happiness level.
